《彭博社》報導，在爆炸案發生同日稍早，泰國官方才剛公布第二季國內生產總值放緩至年增 2.8%，增幅小於上季的3%。由於觀光業佔泰國 GDP 比重超過 10%，這起爆炸案發生後，恐讓遊客暫時止步，對旅遊業勢必造成嚴重影響，對於當前飽受製造業與出口雙雙滑落的泰國經濟來說，更是壞消息。
